Driving Experience Days: Think you need to be over 17 to drive a car? Think again! With the Under 17s Driving Experience in Hertfordshire you can get behind the wheel of a dual controlled Mazda MX5, learning the basics of driving and having some fun on a purpose-built track.
The experience is operated by one of the top driving companies in the country, so you're in safe hands during this full day of tutoring. On arrival, the day begins with a registration, the instructor takes you out for a demo lap before you hop straight into the driver's seat to go over clutch control, steering, braking, and general rules of the road. As time goes on and confidence builds, you'll increase your speed and tackle some more challenging manoeuvres like reversing round a corner and parallel parking (if the instructor thinks you can handle it!). The hour session also includes a lot of theory on road safety, so participants can get the ultimate introduction to driving at a young age!

When can you book Hertfordshire Junior Fun Driving Experience
Under 17s driving days can be booked on select Saturday afternoons and occasional Sundays throughout the year, subject to availability.

Driving Requirements
Minimum age: 11
Maximum age: 16
Minimum height: 4'8''Maximum height: 6'2''
Maximum weight: 18 stone
Drivers must be physically fit with no medical conditions.
Any participant entering a vehicle will be requested to complete a Disclaimer form upon arrival in order to participate in their experience.
An Optional Damage Liability Reduction will be available to purchase at an additional charge on the day of your experience.
(Instructors have the right to void the waiver if the driver is irresponsible or negligent).
How long is the Hertfordshire Junior Fun Driving Experience
Experience Duration: 1:00
Time Spent at Venue: 1:30
The experience lasts one hour, but please expect to be on site for longer. The session includes:
5 minutes introduction, brief & demonstration laps, followed by 50 minutes behind the wheel, and concludes with a 10 minute debrief with your instructor.
Customers can also upgrade from the Mazda MX5 to drive a Porsche Boxster for an additional £25.00 on the day (subject to availability and demand).
